The College of Business at Ohio University provides a distinctive learning environment in which students develop knowledge and skills needed for success in a comlex global economy. With accredited programs, outstanding professors, and some of the most sophisticated computer facilities of any college in the nation, the College of Business is large enough to offer a wide range of classes and majors, yet small enough to offer the personal attention that makes real learning possible. The college is comprised of five schools and departments: School of Accountancy, Finance, Management Information Systems, Management Systems, and Marketing.

Degree
All students who graduate from the College of Business earn a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree. An M.B.A. program is available with concentrations in accounting, finance, marketing, management information systems and human resource management.

Special Admission Requirements
To maintain a quality teaching environment the college limits the number of students it directly admits. Successful applicants usually rank in the top 20 percent of their high school graduating classes, score in the upper third on the SAT  or ACT, and have been involved in extracurricular activities or part-time work experience.

Accreditation
Since 1950, the College of Business has held accreditation from the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business.

Special Programs and Opportunities
The Copeland Scholars Program awards scholarships to high-ability freshmen and provides an opportunity to work one-on-one with faculty members. Qualified juniors in the College of Business may apply for fellowships in the Corporate Leadership Program, which sponsors summer internships and leadership seminars with business leaders throughout the rest of the year.

The Freshman Engagement Program partners small groups of business freshmen with a business junior or senior in a mentoring relationship. These Peer Mentors become an immediate source of information related to expectations, requirements and opportunities that will be encountered by business students. Freshmen benefit from the advice and modeling provided by their mentors. Upperclassmen chosen as Peer Mentors benefit from the opportunity to develop their skills in the areas of mentoring, group facilitation, and leadership.
