Multicultural Recruitment Programs

The Office of Multicultural Programs
This office offers a diverse range of educational, recreational, social and cultural opportunities. Services include the following:

• Support systems to address academic, social, and individual needs of minority students
• Advising and networking for Multicultural Student Organizations
• Sponsorship and involvement in planning professional, educational, and cultural programs such as the annual KWANZAA celebration, Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Native American Awareness Week, Asian American Awareness Week, Hispanic Scholars Support Program, Mind, Body & Soul- The Sister Series and various leadership development conferences

Lindley Cultural Center
Located on the ground floor of Lindley Hall facing the College Green, the center includes a community lounge, a large meeting room, an art gallery, a multi-purpose room, a computer lab, a resource library, and offices for students and staff. Activities include art exhibits, musical and literary presentations, workshops, lectures, small group sessions, panel discussions, and leadership development activities.

LINKS
Designed for first year multicultural students, the first phase of LINKS is a three-day summer orientation in which students learn about campus resources, meet students and staff and discuss adjustment issues. The second phase continues throughout the student's first year and offers study tables, peer advising and tutoring services.
