Upon successful completion of ten core courses with a grade of “C” or better, students must apply for admission to the major.

All students must submit and pass a portfolio review. This review takes place once each year after conclusion of the fall quarter. Students interested in physical education will enter Ohio University into a pre-physical education major. Upon successful completion of a 2.75 minimum accumulative g.p.a., nine specific courses with a grade of “C” or better and a skill/fitness assessment with a score of 75% or higher, students must apply for admission to the major.

Students interested in sport industry will enter Ohio University into a pre-sport industry major. Upon successful completion of a 2.5 minimum accumulative g.p.a and successful completion of seven specific courses with a grade of “C” or better, students must apply for admission to the major.
