Malaria and the Future of Africa’s Children:

The Institute for the African Child marks its sixth year at Ohio University.
Each year it hosts an event to explore issues of concern to the children
of Africa. Dedicated to providing leadership in the field of African Studies,
the Institute for the African Child has held conferences on education and
health, HIV/AIDS, child soldiers, children and Islam, children at risk, and
the girl child. The present workshop provides an opportunity for students,
faculty and community members to engage with leading researchers on
malaria and discuss the problem from an interdisciplinary perspective.
