2008 Graduate Student Orientation

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

10 – 11:30am: Welcome Address  Walter Hall Rotunda

Topics: General information about being a graduate student, academic integrity (including avoiding plagiarism), research activities and opportunities, involvement outside the classroom

11:30am: Casual Lunch Walter Hall Rotunda

Noon – 3pm: Resource Fair and Community Expo Baker Center Ballroom

1pm – 3pm: Information Sessions Baker Center
  • 30 minute sessions, conducted concurrently
  • Topics: Health insurance, Hudson Health services, Counseling services, Information technology, Blackboard, Library services, Ohio state residency, Electronic Thesis and Dissertation services, Graduate Appointments.
  • ID Cards (pictures and everything!)
  • Important Paperwork Session
  • Payroll, Graduate Studies representatives will be present to help students complete employment paperwork (for those working for the university)
