Software Engineer

The primary focus of this position is to design, develop, maintain, test, and perform quality and performance assurance of system software products in support of project assignments. Responsibilities include making changes to system software to correct errors in the original implementation and create extensions to existing programs to add new features or performance improvements. Innovation will be crucial as the software engineer will be involved in the design and development of major functional and performance enhancements for existing products and produce new software products and tools.

This position plays a key role in the custom application development team as well as with multi-discipline teams working on new and existing products and solutions for clients. The successful candidate will be part of a team that designs, implements, tests, and validates software for networks, systems, applications, as well as IT service management of e-business, ensuring that users fully understand and optimize technology. The software engineer team will be involved in the selection, configuration, and integration of software development or support tools and will be responsible for the development of appropriate documentation at both the technical and procedural level.

IT Support Specialist

Under general direction, the IT Support Specialist has broad decision making authority and independence, and serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex issues. This classification requires thorough knowledge of computer diagnostic and repair techniques, and network administration tools in order to provide overall support of new and existing IT systems to administration, faculty, staff, students, and computer labs.
